Colloeditor

The contents of the consignment are described by means of packages, so-called Colli.

Colli refers to general cargo with special characteristics. They are smaller in size, volume and weight. They are transported piecemeal and can be moved with common conveyors (e.g. forklifts). In logistics, general cargo refers to everything that can be transported in one piece. The opposite of colli is cargo.

Create collo

Collo can be created in the Colloeditor. The Colloeditor, like each editor, is divided into several index cards and sections to form thematic focal points. In addition to recording the general basic information that can be found on the General Map, further information on the packaged items, sub-items and dangerous goods data can be recorded. The stock movements and status maps are used to track processes (or provide an additional overview of the current state of the collo).

General

On this map you can see the most important information at a glance.

  • In the collo number field, you can assign a unique number. If you leave the field blank, a number will automatically be drawn when saving.

  • If the collo is associated with a shipment, you will see the shipment number and a link to the shipment editor in the Shipment field.

  • The Parcel Number field displays the index number of the package within all colli of the shipment. e.g.: 1 of 3.

  • You can change the current storage bin by using the Relocation action.

  • The stored collo data such as loading equipment, weight, dimensions, volume and product description are displayed in the Properties area.

  • In the Codes section, enter additional identification numbers of the Colli. Specify the number type and the associated carrier.

  • In the Auxiliary Loading Equipment area, you enter additional loading equipment that is used to secure the load of the goods on the Collo. e.g.: Collars for Euro pallets.

For more information about the fields of the collo, see Collofelder.

Dangerous goods

If a Collo contains dangerous goods, you can enter the corresponding dangerous goods information in the Dangerous Goods tab card.

Procedure:

  1. Select the Dangerous Goods Officer: Specify the user who is responsible for dangerous goods in your organization. In order for a user to be selected as a Dangerous Goods Advisor, the user must have the Dangerous Goods Advisor role. See also User Management.

  2. In the Dangerous Goods section, enter the number of dangerous goods packaging, the mass in liters or kilograms, the European waste code, the emergency telephone number and other characteristics.

  3. To the right of Number and Mass, select the Convention from the dropdown after the classification is to be made (e.g.: ADR, IATA, IMDG). After that, the hazardous substance must be entered in the lookup field to the right of it. It is possible to search by UN number or designation. For a hazardous substance that is not listed by name in the list of dangerous goods, the exact name of the substance must also be entered in the field "Additional text for NAG".

  4. Click the Create action.

You will now see a new line below the input fields with the details of the dangerous goods item. If you want to remove the position, click on the action Delete record.

Items

On this card you enter the contents of the Collo. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Add existing items: In the Item Search section, enter the number of the item and the quantity and click the Add action.

  2. Add new items: Capture the item data such as item no. and name, description, customs information, and quantity, and then click the Create action.

In both cases, the items will appear in the item list below. If you have added an incorrect item, click the Delete record and remove the item from the list.

The collolist is editable. To change the data, edit the fields directly in the list. If a field cannot be edited directly in the list, click on the collo number. This will open the Colloeditor. In the collo editor you can now edit all fields of the package.

Warning

Your changes will not be saved until you click the Save action in the action bar below the editor. If you leave the editor without saving, your changes will be lost!
