Import & export data
In the menu bar of the list, you can import or export data.
Import data
You can use the import function data from an Excel file.
Tip
This feature is only available for selected lists. For the import of complex objects such as shipments or orders, please contact your project manager at ondot solutions.
Import data
- Click the Import action
- Select Download Template and save it to your local PC. The template is an Excel file, which contains the offered fields including the correct structure (column order). In addition, a sample dataset is included to make it easier to enter.
- Fill in the template with your data.
- Click on the Import action and select Import Excel file. The dialog for uploading files from your browser opens.
- Select the file you created earlier, and then click the Open action.
Note
The data is checked before import and is stored in the system only if there are no erroneous records. For example, when importing consignments, the postal code of the recipient is checked or that the recipient's country corresponds to the two-digit ISO code. If data does not meet the specifications, the system displays the corresponding line along with an error message in the header of the page.
Warning
Processing is limited to 10,000 items per file.
Export data
With the help of the export function you can export a list as an Excel file.
The current configuration of the list defines the filtering as well as the arrangement of the exported columns. In the footer of the list, you can see the number of records that will be exported. All data that matches the set filter criteria is always exported. Navigation for scrolling is not taken into account.
Note
symbols are broken down into their components! The display of a symbol usually results from the combination of several data fields, which are exported as separate columns.
