Device Monitor

In the Device Monitor you can see all GPS-enabled devices on a map and in a list view. GPS-enabled devices can be mobile data acquisition devices (MDEs) or GPS boxes built into vehicles.

The Device Monitor gives you a quick overview of the location of your vehicles. You can see the distance traveled per tour and the success of the pick-ups and deliveries.

The devices displayed, according to the master data filter.

Tip

Master Data Filter: You can see the master data of the department to which you are logged in and all those that are on the direct path to the top.

Device Monitor

Map View

In the map view, you can see the position (longitude and latitude) of all devices with their symbol in the color stored on the device. To change the icon or icon color, see Device Master Data and Settings.

In the upper-left corner of the map, click the Zoom-In or Zoom-Out actions to zoom in or out of the map.

Click on the device icon (vehicle) for more information. A window will open with the following data:

  • Name of the tour
  • Driver's name -Mark
  • Last updated: This is the time of the last data update.
  • End of Track: The timestamp of the last waypoint of the trail.

Show a vehicle's track and travel information

  1. In the map view, click on the icon of the device.
  2. In the Device Information window, click on the action Show Track.
  3. You will now see the track marked on the map in the symbol color of the device.
  4. To view the speed driven, hover your mouse over the lane.
  5. The stops visited are shown as circles with the number of deliveries/pick-ups at this stop. Stops where all shipments have already been completed are shown green. Stops where pick-ups or deliveries are still open are shown yellow.
  6. For more information about each stop, click on the stop icon. The stop info window opens with the following information:
  • Status symbol of the shipment
    • Tracking number
    • Current status -Status
    • Address of the stop
  1. For breaks greater than 15 minutes, a pin symbol will be displayed with the start and end of the break.
  2. To close the track view, click the red X icon in the upper right corner of the map.

Device Monitor Track

View historical data

In principle, the device monitor displays the current positions and track data of the devices. To see historical data, click on the date picker in the top right corner of the map view and set the desired date.

List view

In the list view, you can see all the devices and their properties.

The Deliveries and Pickups columns give a quick overview of the progress and delivery success of the tour.

Example: 9/12 2

  • 9 out of a total of 12 shipments are done (there was a delivery or pick-up attempt)
  • There was a delivery obstacle on 2 shipments.
  • 3 shipments still need to be picked up or delivered.

If you want to locate a device/vehicle from the list on the map, click the icon in the list. The map moves the section so that the selected device is in the center of the map. In addition, the window with the device information will open.

Detailed information about the device/vehicle

In the list view, click the name of the device. The detail view opens with the following information:

  • List of shipments (pick-ups and deliveries) that are currently scheduled for this vehicle/tour.
  • List of transports carried out by this vehicle.
  • Messages sent to or from this device. From here, you can also send new messages to devices.
  • Route: Logbook with the routes traveled with location and time.

Device Master Data and Settings

To change the master data of a device, click on the name of the device in the detail view at the top of the title bar. The Device Editor will open.

Set general information such as name, serial number, symbol, and symbol color here. In the Device Information section, you can see technical data such as the hardware model, the manufacturer, the IMSI, the telecom provider and the software version.
