Organisational unit

Organizational units can be departments of the organizational structure, as well as customers, suppliers or partners. The specific characteristics are defined in the respective additional objects.

Fields

Caption	Description
Name	The name of the organizational unit. This is used for quick identification in all lists and selection boxes. It does not necessarily have to be the company name or the exact name of the department, but can also be a common abbreviation.
Businesspartner Nr.	Depending on the customer or supplier, the business partner number is used as the customer number or the supplier's number. If the data is transferred from another system, the number of the organizational unit from the third-party system can be used here. In the lookups of the editors, the organizational unit is found by this number.
Responsible site	The responsible department determines the owner of this organizational unit. This controls access permission. Organizational units are restricted with the master data filter. See also concept-authorization.
Parent organisational unit	The parent organizational unit. In the case of internal departments, the organizational structure is mapped, and in the case of customers or suppliers, group structures can be displayed.
Address	The address of the organizational unit.
Billing Address	The billing address of the organizational unit.
VATID	The VAT number. This number is printed in the billing on the invoice document.
Tax liability	Specifies the type of tax liability.
Category	The category of the organizational unit.
Ignore in lookup	Specifies whether this organizational unit is found in all search fields.
EDI update denied	Specifies whether data changes are allowed for this organizational unit via import interfaces. In this way, it can be ensured in projects that data of this organizational unit maintained in shippingNET is not unintentionally lost.

Is Customer	Activates or deactivates the Customer characteristic for this organizational unit.
Characteristic customer	Information about organizational units with the characteristic customer.
Is Depot	Activates or deactivates the Depot characteristic for this organizational unit.
Characteristic depot	Information about organizational units with the characteristic Depot.
Is Site	Activates or deactivates the Department characteristic for this organizational unit. Departments are used to define the organizational structure.
Characteristic site	Information about organizational units with the characteristic Department.
Is supplier	Activates or deactivates the characteristic Supplier for this organizational unit.
Characteristic supplier	Information about organizational units with the characteristic Supplier.

Information	General information about this organizational unit. Background information can be stored here as free text.

Delivery Instructions	Delivery instructions are specific instructions for delivering items to this organizational unit. The data is transferred to the corresponding shipment data when shipments are created.
Pickup Instructions	Pickup instructions are specific instructions for picking up shipments from this organizational unit. The data is transferred to the corresponding shipment data when shipments are created.
Default dispatch type	The default shipping method for deliveries to this organizational unit. The data is transferred to the corresponding shipment data when shipments are created.
Default Delivery - Carrier	The default carrier for shipping to this organizational unit. The data is transferred to the corresponding shipment data when shipments are created.
Default Delivery - Delivery service	The standard service for shipping to this organizational unit. The data is transferred to the corresponding shipment data when shipments are created.
Default Delivery - Relation	The default relation for sending to this organizational unit. The data is transferred to the corresponding shipment data when shipments are created.
SPX Number
IATA code	The IATA airport code (sometimes IATA (Airport) Three Letter Code (AP)3LC) is a code developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to uniquely identify airports. It consists of a combination of three alphabetic characters. For example, MUC stands for Munich Airport, AGB for Augsburg Airport or VIE for Vienna International Airport.
UN-Location code	UN/LOCODE, the United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations, is a geographic coding scheme developed and maintained by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). UN/LOCODE assigns codes to locations used in trade and transport with functions such as seaports, rail and road terminals, airports, Postal Exchange Office and border crossing points.
Customs duty account number	The tax account number is a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and is assigned by the tax office when a new tax file is created. It serves to clearly identify taxpayers and to make administration efficient.
Allow SMS-Notification	Specifies whether SMS messages can be sent to this organizational unit. This ensures compliance with the GDPR.
Allow E-Mail Notification	Specifies whether e-mail messages can be sent to this organizational unit. This ensures compliance with the GDPR.
Business Hours List	List of business hours. One line per period. Several opening hours can be defined for a day of the week, e.g. Monday 08:00 - 12:00 and Monday 13:00 - 17:00.
Pickup time slots	List of pick-up time slots. One line per period. Several pick-up time slots can be defined for a weekday, e.g. Monday 08:00 - 12:00 and Monday 13:00 - 17:00.
Recurring pickup	Specifies whether this organizational unit is used for regular pick-ups.
Bank Account List	List of bank details of the organizational unit.
Third Party Application List	List of reference IDs from the point of view of other IT systems. See also concept-thirdparty-application.
